Easy Chocolate Tart Recipe for Busy Weeknights

2

Making a rich, fudgy chocolate tart at home sounds like a project that takes all day. It doesn’t. You only need two ingredients for the topping and a simple batter for the base. The trick is using a blender for the dough and letting the chocolate ganache set properly. Here is exactly how to make a glossy, indulgent dessert without spending hours in the kitchen.

Gather These Specific Ingredients

You need a few staples for the crust and two premium items for the glaze.

  • For the batter:

    • 2 eggs
    • 2 small coffee cups of powdered sugar
    • 1 small coffee cup of milk
    • 2 small coffee cups of liquid oil
    • 5 small coffee cups of flour
    • 2 packets of vanilla
    • 1 packet of baking powder
  • For the chocolate topping:

    • 3 packets of bitter chocolate (totaling 240 grams)
    • 1 pack of cream (200 grams)

Note: “Small coffee cup” is a standard Turkish measurement unit, roughly equivalent to 100-120ml. If you don’t have these specific cups, use standard measuring cups and adjust slightly.

Mix the Batter in 5 Minutes

Why use a blender? Because it saves time and ensures the mixture is smooth without lumps.

  1. Crack the two eggs into a bowl. Add the powdered sugar.
  2. Whisk them together briefly.
  3. Add the milk, oil, flour, vanilla, and baking powder.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a blender. Run it on high for 5 minutes.

This step creates a light, fluffy texture. Do not skip the blending time. A hand mixer works, but it takes longer and may leave air pockets if you aren’t careful.

Bake at 150°C for Even Rise

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F). Grease a tart pan thoroughly. Pour the blended batter into the pan.

Bake until the top is golden and a toothpick comes out mostly clean. The low temperature is key. High heat causes the edges to burn before the center sets. You want a soft, cake-like interior, not a dry sponge.

Make the Ganache Without Clumping

This is where most home bakers get it wrong. They throw chunks of chocolate into cold cream. Don’t do that.

  1. Pour the 200g of cream into a saucepan.
  2. Heat it until it is warm, not boiling.
  3. Break the 240g of bitter chocolate into small pieces.
  4. Add the chocolate to the warm cream.
  5. Stir gently over low heat until the chocolate melts completely.

The result should be a smooth, glossy ganache. If it looks thick, add a splash more cream. If it separates, your cream was too hot. Start over if needed.

Let It Set Before Serving

Remove the tart from the pan once it is cool enough to handle. Flip it onto a plate. The tart should be firm but soft inside.

Pour the warm chocolate ganache over the entire surface of the tart. Spread it evenly.

The waiting game: Let the tart
